Youth & Family Camping

The 2012 West Michigan Bible Camp booklets and registration forms are in. Please see the office or Chad Inman for more information. Please hand in all registration forms and $75 deposits in to the office by Sunday May 13, 2012. As always there are several camping weeks available for all children and youth ages throughout the summer. Grade requirements are based on a student's grade completed as of the spring of 2012. Some, but not all, of the camping weeks available are as follows:
SUMMER BIBLE CAMPS 2012

As always there are several camping weeks available for all children and youth ages throughout the summer. Some, but not all, of the camping weeks available are as follows:
Teddy Bear- Aug 5-7; Age 4- 2nd Grade - With Adult; Lake Louise Camp. Cost is $141 per person
Camp Explorer- July 15-20; Grades 3-6; Lake Michigan Camp. Cost is $389 for a full week, $199 for mini camp (grades 1-2)
Quest 1-Social Network- July 15-20; Grades 6-8; Lake Michigan Camp. Cost is $389
Total Challenge-the Social Network- July 8-13; Grades 9-12; Lake Michigan Camp. Cost is $389

The exact numbers have not been tallied but the sum of the winning bids for the 2012 silent auction was $2,700! With the camp bread pan funds and the profit from the Spaghetti Luncheon yet to be tallied we are confident that we have met our goal of $3,000! Praise the Lord! A special thanks to the Methodist Mom's, Ruth Reickard, Ron Radunzel, Mike Bettinghouse, the others who served during the luncheon and the countless individuals who donated to this year's silent auction. We couldn't have done it without you. The success of this event is due solely to the support of the people of RUMC. Your generosity has allowed us to give each full week camper a $150 scholarship, and each mini week camper a $75 scholarship! Sign up for Camp! The scholarship money is in folks, the only thing left to do is sign up the campers! $150 scholarships will be offered to all students attending a full week camp and $75 scholarships will be offered to students attending a mini- camp (half week). In addition the West Michigan Conference is offering $50 rebates to first time campers attending a full week camp and $25 rebates to first time campers attending a mini-camp. This year these rebates are also available to those who invite first time campers to come with them. A $75 deposit is due with the registration form. All campers must be registered and paid in full by May 15, 2011. Please hand in your registration to the office rather than sending it directly to the conference. This allows the church to keep track of how many children from RUMC attend camp.
FAMILY CAMP has been scheduled for July 13-15 at Lake Michigan Camp, located in Pentwater, and set in the beautiful woods along the sand dunes of the Lake Michigan. Facilities include sites for tent camping, RV's (full hookups), fire bowl, ball field, bathhouses and ½ mile of private beach on Lake Michigan. Join us for family camping and fun. A bonus for families with kids going to Bible camp is they can send their high school age child(ren) the week of July 8 then stay the weekend to pick them up; or if your middle school or elementary age child(ren) will be attending the week of July 15 you can go up early.
