Information:

Susan Witte is a wife and mother of four children (plus one foreign exchange student this year). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Central Michigan University, majoring in Child Development. Aside from her family, she keeps busy as both a life guard and swim instructor at the Wolverine World Wide YMCA in Belmont. She is also a certified American Red Cross instructor, holding certificates as Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSI-T), Life Guard Instructor (LGI), and First Aid, CPR, AED, O2 instructor.

Prior to coming to Rockford in July 2008, Susan was very active in the Leesburg Presbyterian Church (LPC) in Leesburg, VA. She initiated, organized, and nurtured the “Moms Alive!” support group for mothers, the LPC Book Club, and the LPC Quilting Group. She also was elected to the Board of Deacons and served as its moderator for two years. As Deacons Moderator, Susan set organizational objectives and initiated several new programs including Casserole Patrol for those in need, visitation and card writing, and weekly church fellowship dinners. She supervised the nursery, hired and trained its staff.

At Rockford UMC, Susan plans to become better acquainted with our current group of volunteers and work to further expand Rockford’s ability to reach those in need. If you would like to be involved in this exciting ministry, please contact Susan using the form below.
